How recipe discovery works
- Inspect an ingredient before selling it. Its description can suggest a useful combination.
- Bring the related ingredients to the appropriate station. Include containers such as glass vials when needed.
- Place the ingredients in the slots and check the proposed result.
- Make the item to record a successful discovery, then use the saved recipe for later batches.
Save these materials for your next trip
- Droop gel: useful for water and the early health-potion mixture.
- Treant hearts: keep them if you plan to make healing supplies.
- Glass vials: do not overlook the container when assembling a potion.
- Food ingredients: prepare supplies at the campfire before leaving your base.
Before buying a recipe
Check your discovered list first. You may already have learned the combination through crafting. If a recipe is unfamiliar, inspect its station requirement and ingredients before buying materials for it.
Missing ingredients or no result?
An empty slot, a different station or ingredients left in inaccessible storage can interrupt the crafting process. Work through the campfire troubleshooting checks or return to the crafting overview.
